This website redesign introduced atmosphere and personality, creating an experiential space rather than a purely informational one. Deep ocean imagery, rich blue and teal tones, and elegant serif typography introduce a sense of stillness and depth. Subtle motion, parallax scrolling, and organic wave-like transitions mirror the philosophy behind Traditional Chinese Medicine: balance, flow, and individualized healing.

How do you bring the feeling of land, culture, and ritual into a website without turning it into a theme?

For The Agave Lab, the starting point was the farm itself. The site reflects more than twenty species of agave growing in San Diego County, and the culture that surrounds them. Photos from the land set a grounded tone, while a hand-drawn agave illustration keeps things light and approachable. The palette pulls from deep greens and bright lime tones that feel rooted in soil but still modern.

The site also has work to do. It hosts events, shares stories, sells small-batch goods, and invites community support. Every design choice needed to feel connected, not decorative.
