There's less than one month left to apply and bring SPARK! Places of Innovation to your community!
Missouri Humanities is seeking museums, historical societies, and cultural organizations to host this traveling exhibit from the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum on Main Street. Not an organization, but want to bring this exhibit to your community? Tag your local organization and encourage them to apply!
SPARK! explores the many ways innovation takes shape in rural communities, and selected sites will have the opportunity to pair the exhibition with their own local stories, programs, and events.
This is a special opportunity to engage your community, build partnerships, and celebrate the ideas and people that shape your region.
📅 Applications to be a host site are open until June 30.

📣 Exciting news! Our friends at the Kinder Institute on Constitutional Democracy have released a new podcast: "The Past in Pieces: Tales from the Missouri-Kansas Border War."
Each fifteen-minute episode explores an aspect of the nineteenth-century struggle over slavery in the Kansas-Missouri borderlands, where the Civil War began. Listeners encounter Jayhawkers, Bushwhackers, and ordinary families; moments of political crisis and personal tragedy; and stories of the harrowing violence that fell most heavily on civilians.
