For a surprisingly chilly May day: same FORMULA as yesterday: green/black/white print cami with elasticized waist, off-black jeans, green drape-front cardigan. Could also top the cami and jeans with a featherweight black cardigan or a soft-white jean jacket. Three possible looks - all using pieces I already own.

Challenge: Make a new outfit each day using clothes I already own. I tried 3 different toppers with my jeans and cami today - decided to go with the third one, but have the others "in the bank" for another day ...

Busy creating jean looks for this transitional weather. Then navy dot scarf inspired the combo with a pink shell - topped with a soft blazer for dressier situations and a wide-striped cascade cardi for more casual settings.

Swapped in a pale sage gren tank and denim-look sweater jacket, visually connected with an oversized scard printed to look like a green/blue brocade.

So much easier to get excited about warmer weather wear when I plan combos ahead of time ...

Stripes are a big Spring trend, and they are a great base for pattern mixing. Mini stripes with a paisley print scarf. Mini stripes with a color coordinated floral. Bolder stripes with a color-blocked cascade cardigan sweater. And a square pendant to echo the angularity of all those stripes. Casual looks with polish!

Another change of accessories, and the Little BASIC Dress goes out for a lovely dinner. Black pumps, a sleek black clutch and chunky gold/silver mix necklace and earrings. Blue blossoms in the Liberty of London wool challis shaw perfectly echo the color of the dress ...

Even a conservative Little BASIC Dress can go a little wild when paired with a leopard skin print pump and coordinating infinity scarf. It's challenging to find skin prints like these, that are not too golden for my cooler coloring. The crochet string wristlet and gold/silver mix jewelry maintain that warm/cool balance and the animal motif glasses are the finishing touch
