Happy Father's Day

Hi! My name is Amanda Devenport, owner of ABCD Bakery. I am the mother of a two year old son, and soon to be mother of a daughter as well. My little family is from Nashville, TN and has relocated to Saint Louis in the past year. Shortly after coming to STL, my little boy was approaching his very first birthday. As my son approached his first birthday, my husband suggested that I make his birthday cake to make the event more memorable. I had never made a cake in my life! Little did he know that by asking me to take on one small aspect of the party, he would be helping me uncover a passion I didn't know existed. I agreed 3 months ahead of the party to begin practicing. What began as a fun little hobby on the weekend has turned into a passion of making and decorating cupcakes. I have since found a love for finding and creating new flavors and techniques for decorating! I've found a passion for baking a variety of sweets and breads that I never knew I was capable of. I am bringing ABCD Bakery to the public in the hopes to spread a little more of my southern sweetness to the Saint Louis area.
