At Geneoscopy, our commitment to innovation is fueled not only by our experienced team members but also by our talented interns, who bring fresh perspectives and enthusiasm.

Today, we’re excited to spotlight two of our new interns: Abby Finnegan from the Clinical Studies department and Cecelia Kraeger from the Medical department, both working at our St. Louis headquarters.

We spoke with Abby to learn more about her background and experiences:
What was your major, and where did you study?
I graduated with a degree in political science from Hope College in 2021!

What initially attracted you to apply for an internship at Geneoscopy?
I love Dr. Erica and the work she does, and when the opportunity came to apply for an internship here, I knew I had to jump on it!

How do you spend your time outside of work?
I usually hang out with my dogs and my boyfriend, and I play viola and lots of video games!

Next, we caught up with Cecelia to hear about her journey from school to her Summer with Geneoscopy:
What is your academic focus, and where are you studying?
I will be a senior at Texas Christian University, majoring in Biology and minoring in Studio Art. I am currently on the pre-med track.

What motivated you to choose Geneoscopy for your internship?
I have known Erica since I was younger, and I never would have imagined she would one day become my boss! Since then, I have always looked up to and admired her. Geneoscopy stood out to me as a company that’s tackling important healthcare challenges in innovative ways, and I feel so lucky to contribute!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
Outside of work, I love spending quality time with my friends now that we are all home for the summer! I also paint custom designs for friends and family and spend hours in the ceramic studio during the school year. Other than that, you can probably find me in the kitchen cooking!

Both Abby and Cecelia exemplify the passion that drives Geneoscopy forward. If their stories inspire you, and you want to be part of a team that is revolutionizing healthcare, check out our open roles at geneoscopy.com/careers.
