Had a great time conducting a branding session with Author and Blogger Rev. Joseph Asher and his wife Dr. Jennie Asher. Here is a sneak peek at some of the photos from the shoot.

Interested in a branding session of your own? I still have a few slots available in late summer for sessions, but they're going fast. Shoot me a message to get your session booked today!

Lie # 2: You Deserve It — Witness Photography 08/09/2025

💬 “You deserve it!” — a slogan we’ve heard for decades. It promises comfort, indulgence, and self-gratification. But what does the scripture say we truly deserve?

From Genesis to the cross, Scripture tells a radically different story—one that replaces entitlement with gratitude and indulgence with grace. In Christ, we don’t get what we deserve… we get far better.

Dive into this reflection on cultural slogans, biblical truth, and how to live every blessing with thankfulness. 🙏

I gotta share a story about this silly Chick-fil-A cow. Today, as we waited in the drive through at the Chick-fil-A Brentwood (MO) and all the cars were zippering in as the two lanes merged into one in a very friendly manner. We watched car after car go right lane, left lane, right lane, left lane, and so on. Then came our turn to merge in, we let the left lane car go in keeping with the pattern and started pulling forward to take our turn only to witness the second person in the left lane break the pattern and cut us off to prevent us from being able to merge so they could get the spot ahead of us. Needless to say I was ticked but there wasn’t much I could do about it. As with any other Chick-fil-A, the line was quick and it really wasn’t a big deal, but I was still stewing on the rudeness of the person infront of me. So we pull up to the window and they hand us our food and the person handing us our food says,

“Congratulations, you’re customer number 100!! Here is a cow with some coupons on it for you! Thanks for coming by today!”

Wow, I was so excited. I mean, if that guy hadn’t cut us off, he would have gotten this cow and the coupons that came along with it and we would have been stuck as customer 99, but he unknowingly did us a favor and made us the 100th customer in line. Moral of the story: wait your turn, and if someone else doesn’t, maybe it won’t turn out so bad. Just one more reason to love Chick-fil-A.

A Final Task — Witness Photography 07/12/2025

The final chapter of my journey from flight school to seminary is up! I'll have an Epilogue to tie up some final things next week, but it has been a great experience to write this all out and think through these events, once again. Thank you to everyone who has been following along, so far.

A Final Task — Witness Photography In this last chapter of the narrative, I detail a final task that was resolved with percision timing only through the work of God. I also acknowledge some of the people who played important roles in this process. Stick around, there will be an Epliogue coming next week!
