Reward in behavior science is an experience directly tied to a behavior that makes that behavior more likely to happen again.
▪️
When working with clients to create new habits, we want to understand what is making a particular behavior hard to do, by questioning their present state of ability and work with them to determine how they can make that behavior easier to do frequently and well.
▪️
Scientists learned decades ago that rewards need to happen either during the behavior or milliseconds afterward for the behaviors to be reinforced. That said, we need to monitor how we reward ourselves and how we time the rewards we reap.
▪️
When we celebrate effectively after accomplishing or achieving something, we tap into reward circuitry in the brain...encoding sequences of behavior we’ve performed. Celebrating is self-enforcing. It can also be utilized as a specific technique for behavior change and a psychological frame shift.
▪️
For example, walking is a behavior that is repeated until it’s second nature through reward. The same system can also be applied to weight training and meal prepping. So as long as we are in a position to change and be receptive to learning.
▪️
Feel good paths of relief and reward lead us to the land of habit by creating expectations for the future.
▪️
We work with our clients to understand good feelings and pour into routines that emphasize those feelings for good health. Join our program this month to receive the lowest price of the season for membership!

Our perception of our ability to perform becomes THE reality that our neural pathway ingrains in our brain as OUR reality. So If we want to perform really well then we better start believing, behaving and fueling ourselves like we can.
▪️
The combined power of the brain and body is miraculous. The more often we have a thought or perform an action in a repeated manner, the more powerful those thoughts and actions become. The more powerful they are, the better we become at thinking and doing those things.
▪️
Change is a requirement for getting better in the same way change is a requirement for pattern breakage and formation. By choosing to show up and execute a particular thought or action you make a conscious decision to change the shape of old patterns and create reception for new patterns to form. You are deciding to actively and quite literally breaking down what you no longer are, to step into who you want to be.
▪️
And we want to empower you to claim that change for yourself and your health. Personalized health management is about standing up to claim the opportunity and power you have to shape your own pattern of health and longevity.
▪️
If you are looking to make a change ask yourself these questions:
▪️
• Do you know why change is truly meaningful for you?
• Is this change truly a priority?
• Do you know the effort and sacrifice this change will entail? If you do know, to what extent and degree are you willing to endure it to achieve the change?
▪️
Next time you’re in the process of trying to conquer something. Approach it from the perspective of someone who already has. Rather than saying: “I want to exercise.”- say, “I am someone who exercises.” Seriously, identify as a person who already does and then watch how it becomes true.
▪️
Your health is not a start and end date, it’s something you do for the rest of your life. We know true behavior change is the art of pursuing the conquest of what works for you.

1 in 4 Americans spend more than 8 hours a day sitting. You might even find yourself sitting right now. These uninterrupted sitting sessions contribute to more than 80% of Americans not getting enough exercise; a key component of our growing ‘under-muscled and over-fat’ society.
▪️
Since 1950, the number of sedentary jobs have increased 83%, while the number of active jobs have only increased by 20%. This is problematic because living a mostly sedentary lifestyle, despite how society’s progression has encouraged it, increases someone’s risk of premature death rate by 71%.
▪️
Working to increase physical activity in tandem with nutritional and lifestyle adjustment can help!
▪️
The Journal of the American Medical Association acknowledges that:
▪️
• A single bout of physical activity can sharpen your mind, reduce your anxiety, lower your blood pressure, improve your sleep and strengthen your body's ability to convert blood sugar into energy.
• Regular physical activity can improve your brain health, reduce your risk of eight different forms of cancer, and lower your risk for excess weight gain.
• Chronic health conditions like osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, dementia, Alzheimer’s, anxiety and depression are improved by physical activity.
▪️
Incorporating more motion into our days also helps prevent or augment the degeneration of our skeletal muscle, which helps us:
▪️
• Have a fighting chance against aging (sarcopenia).
• Reduce our susceptibility of muscle diseases.
• Correct the body against a more sedentary professional and personal lifestyle that prolongs pain.
• Improve access to neurotransmitters that help us handle higher expectations, stress loads, and insulin resistance more effectively.
• Create a network of fibers that works with our organs to balance glucose levels and maximize nutrient absorption in our evolving dietary regime.
▪️
Your brain and your heart depend on movement to keep you in motion in the ways you want. Our muscles help us reach and sustain benchmarks of healthier lifestyles.
▪️
Offsetting the negative effects of prolonged sitting can start with just 2 minutes every hour. If you are ready to tackle your activity and lead an empowered lifestyle, now’s the perfect time to join our behavioral fitness program.
If you were searching for a sign to jumpstart your fitness goals for 2022, then this is it.

We understand that meal plans and workouts don’t teach you anything about sustainability. That’s why 95% of people that go through a “diet” and “training” protocol will fail to sustain the weight that they lost for more than 3 years. It is mindset and habit coaching that makes sustainability possible.
▪️
We know that true performance enhancement starts with neurological analysis. That’s why we equip people with the tools they need to analyze and understand themselves, their health habits, and behaviors to make meaningfully consistent change.
▪️
Consistency isn’t about perfection, it’s about the progression towards performance indicators and biofeedback markers that improve our satisfaction for life, which not only makes change possible, but enjoyable!
▪️
In order to achieve optimal health for YOU, we need to take care of things internally first.
▪️
It’s a dynamic process because, quite simply, you’re a dynamic individual. Your plan should fit your life, not the other way around.

Making a resolution to become healthier is a good decision, no matter when you do it; so as long as you are ready to entertain and implement what it means to change.
▪️
While many people wait to make these type of resolutions in January, research shows that it’s not really the best time for a new health or fitness goal. After all, more than 42 percent of people say that they fail to achieve their New Year’s resolution every year. Emerging research shows that if you wait until after the holidays to start working on better health, it can put you at a disadvantage. This is why we’re talking about it ‘ahead of schedule.’
▪️
Did you know the most popular resolutions for 2021 were exercising more and improving fitness (50% of participants), losing weight (48% of participants), saving money (44% of participants), and improving diet (39% of participants)? Of those that made a resolution in 2020, only 35% kept all their resolutions.
▪️
Improving the percentage of people that keep all their resolutions is important to us. Did you know our program can help with each of these popular resolutions?
▪️
Here are some steps to consider when seek to secure a big stretch goal:
▪️
1.) Understand very deeply why you want this goal and what motivates you to achieve sustained progress intrinsically.
2.) Address proactively your greatest fears about reaching this goal.
3.) Figure out now what’s in the way of believing: firstly, you are truly worthy of it. Secondly, that you actually deserve it. And lastly, that you will be able to handle other people’s reactions when you finally achieve what you desire.
▪️
It’s true that most of us simply can’t bring about significant change in our lives if one key thing is missing—understanding at a deep level why you operate the way you do, and recognizing what keeps you locked in specific “negative,” self-sabotaging, or self-limiting behaviors that resist change. We understand this as behavioral fitness coaches.
▪️
When you begin working with trusted company to intimately accept your mindset, values, beliefs, habits and greatest fears, you will notice a massive shift as you begin realizing why certain goals are going to be very hard for you to achieve, and even harder to sustain, unless you deeply commit to yourself and future satisfaction.
▪️
Remember, it’s your consciousness that needs to change before your behavior can change. If you lack accountability or structure to help you sustain change or are actually scared and completely resistant to achieving a goal, your body will resist your mind.
▪️
Do you want to make an exciting New Year’s resolution that you can actually achieve in the new year? Don’t wait to start. If you’re ready, we’re booking clients this season and would love to speak with you.
