Ray Reed for State Representative

Like many of you, I have watched with concern as Governor Parson prepares to allow the ex*****on of Marcellus Williams. This decision, made despite serious doubts surrounding the case and credible questions about his guilt, flies in the face of the values of justice and fairness that we should all hold dear.

The death penalty is irreversible. Once carried out, there is no going back. We cannot afford to make mistakes when a human life is on the line. The people of Missouri should not have to live with the weight of knowing that their tax dollars funded the murder of an innocent man.

In a moment like this, we must pause and reflect on who we are and what we stand for. This is not about politics, it’s about morality. It’s about doing what’s right—not what’s convenient or politically expedient. I join the call on the governor to put a stop to this ex*****on. Missouri can and must do better.

Let us stand for justice, for fairness, and for the sanctity of human life. And let us do so not only in words but in deeds. The future of Missouri depends on it.
