ArchKey's prefabrication team has been churning out large stub-up duct banks for a new water treatment plant in Pennsylvania. The ductbanks start as a BIM design based on the customer's specifications. The drawings then moved to the shop floor, where our team of technicians constructed the forms.
The completed project requires more than 700 90° conduits made of 4" fiberglass. They are fitted into steel racks, each one weighing anywhere from 300 - 2,000 lbs. That's 90% lighter than using rigid conduit, which saves on fuel when it comes time to transport the racks to their final destination.
