We have so many toys and things around the house that the kids no longer use, and while we can rehome many of them, there are some things that we can upcycle like their wood blocks. I don't think a day goes by when I don't think back on something I said or did and wonder if I'm doing a good job as a mother. Some days I yell too much, get frustrated too easily, and get too busy with work and say, "In just a minute." too many times. As they say, the days are long, but the years are short. While we can't always be as present as we want, all we can do is try to improve. Happy mother's day. If you're as worried as I am about being a good mother, it means you already are one.

While we don't make many milestone blocks, these galaxy blocks were some of my favorites! The contrast with the black stain and the real gold streaks and flecks was wonderful. It's funny; while we have all of these cool things, we never did them with our kids. Cobbler with no shoes syndrome!
