Stitches, Etc.

We have been clearing out and cleaning up and will be done on the 31st. BUT Main Street is alive and well and many people are actually shopping, though there are lots of river watchers out to take pictures. It has definitely been a banner year for odd weather and many changes. Please remember to Shop Local and support the businesses you love!

Even rain didn't keep people away from Main Street!!! Love the Spirit! Just a reminder that we are open from 12 to 4:30 today and it is the last we can accept 'cards' for payment. The machine goes back to the credit card company. We will be open at usual hours this next week and weekend.

Such a special week full of visitors and friends stopping with well wishes. I had to start offering special deals because I just was so happy :) We are now giving 40 percent off most everything. Models and fixtures are priced to sell at the tagged prices. The thread cases have been selling but we do have a couple left. THANK YOU!

Stitches will close at 1pm on Weds the 25th, next week and be closed for Thanksgiving. We will be open Friday at 10 until 6 (maybe later); Saturday 10 - 6; Sunday 12-5. We will be open at regular hours through the first week of December.
Christmas Traditions begins Friday and will go up until Christmas. You won't want to miss the beautiful street this year!

What a beautiful day Saturday was, and filled with fun, great customers. Thanks to all that came in for so many reasons. We celebrated by giving even greater discounts, since I love fun surprises :) Such a grand day!

Although I can't show what is on sale, there are a few things left of the 50% off sale. All Perle 5, 8, and 12 threads and picture frames are at 50% off. Sulky and Sullivans are on sale at 20% off and the silks as well. There are some fabric and chart specials. Hope this helps those looking for sales. Many of you have heard that I am retiring by the end of the year. In consideration of a potential buyer, I did not want to run the store out of a base of inventory or give opportunity for discussion of closure. We have come to the final weeks and it is time
to announce my retirement and the closing of Stitches Etc. We are still receiving new designs and updates will be forthcoming.
I want to thank all of those that have sent such beautiful thoughts as they have
become aware. They are much appreciated :) Now if my eyes haven't fooled me this will print as I meant it to :) I apologize if it doesn't.

What a wonderful event and weekend we have had. Needlework Galleria was a big hit! Well done! They will return next year so watch their website for details!

A reminder that St Charles is planning a great weekend for all. The Needlework Galleria will be at the Embassy Suites. Don't forget that the Home Show is at the Convention Center, the Octoberfest is on the river front, and, on Sunday, the Antique Car Show will be on South Main! Lots to do and see.
