We are searching for an experienced and capable Tile Installer/Setter to join our company. The Tile Installer/Setter will be required to brainstorm and implement effective flooring solutions based on client specifications. You should also ensure adherence to our protocols while observing standard safety guidelines.
To be successful as a Tile Installer/Setter, you should possess the ability to deliver high-quality work within short but reasonable turnaround times. A remarkable Tile Installer/Setter will recommend ways to improve workflow without sacrificing craftsmanship.
Responsibilities:
- Meeting with clients and inspecting sites to determine the most appropriate flooring solutions.
- Removing existing flooring and discarding of this material, if applicable.
- Clearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions.
- Preparing the work surface by applying adhesive, grouting, or other appropriate materials.
- Laying tiles, concrete, and other types of ceramic flooring.
- Ensuring that the flooring materials are well-positioned, secure, and clean.
- Completing the installation by applying appropriate finishes.
- Educating clients about suitable care for their floors.
Following safe procedures and encouraging clients to do the same, where applicable.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience as a Tile Installer/Setter.
- Catalog of completed flooring installations.
- Valid driver's license is preferable.
- Good arithmetic skills.
- Capable of independent and group work.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Thorough and efficient.
- Physically fit and able to lift large, heavy equipment and materials.

Job Responsibilities
- Clean the construction site before the general crew is supposed to arrive, eliminating any debris that could pose potential hazards
- Control traffic that might be around the construction site by posting signs indicating people are working and redirecting any vehicles to side roads
- Unload materials from trucks and place them at the proper location on the site; distribute materials to contractors
- Maintain all pieces of equipment by routinely inspecting machinery, conducting repairs and ordering replacements when necessary
- Provide any assistance to the contractors when asked
- Conduct inspections once a project is complete and walk through the premises of the construction site to ensure everything meets the desired specifications before showing it to the client
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Previous experience working on construction sites (preferred)
- Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols
Preferred
- High school education or equivalent
