Historically, there has been an understandable aversion to therapy within the Black community. For generations, keeping things close to the chest was a survival mechanism against a system that wasn’t built to protect you.
True liberation means no longer having to just “survive” your trauma. It means having the space to heal.
As a practitioner, my allyship isn’t just about celebrating today; it’s about providing a safe, culturally aware resource every day. You don’t have to carry the weight alone. Healing is an act of revolution.

At Cobblestone Collective, we believe that true mental wellness is built on the freedom to be your authentic self. This Pride Month, we celebrate the resilience, beauty, and joy of the LGBTQIA+ community.
Your identity is valid, your story matters, and we are proud to always provide a safe, supportive space where you belong. 🌈✨

Summer brings a shift in routine that can be both liberating and overwhelming. Balancing childcare, work, and the pressure to make memories can quickly lead to burnout.
Here are four concise mental health tips for kids and adults to keep the season grounded.
1. Establish a “Loose Routine”
For Kids: Keep consistent wake-up and bedtimes. Create simple anchors like “reading after lunch.”
For Adults: Block out a dedicated window for your own tasks or decompression before the day gets hectic.
2. Practice “Green Therapy” Daily
For Kids: Burn off restless energy with unstructured outdoor play, trail walks, or park visits.
For Adults: Take a 15-minute screen-free reset—sit in the sun, walk in the grass, or drink coffee outside.
3. Normalize Boredom and Downtime
For Kids: Normalize boredom. It is a prerequisite for creativity and independent play.
For Adults: Permitting yourself to have “do-nothing” days is exactly what everyone’s mental health needs.
4. Create Separate and Shared “Quiet Zones”
For Kids: Set up a designated “quiet corner” with books or coloring to wind down without feeling punished.
For Adults: Communicate boundaries clearly, such as: “I need 10 minutes of quiet time, then I’m ready to play.”
Taking care of your collective mental health this summer doesn’t mean creating a flawless schedule; it means creating room to breathe. By lowering expectations and focusing on connection over constant entertainment, the whole family can head into autumn feeling truly refreshed.

Better Together: Why We’re Teeing Up for Greater Giving! ⛳️✨
At Cobblestone Collective, we believe that healing doesn't just happen in a therapy room—it happens through connection, community, and showing up for one another. That’s why we are so incredibly proud to announce that we are sponsoring a hole at the Greater Giving Annual Golf Tournament! 🏌️♀️🤝
Greater Giving is a phenomenal 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aligns so deeply with our heart for mental health. They step into the gaps, providing support during crises and fostering healing for individuals and families when they need it most. 🧡

⛳️ Sponsor a Hole: Join us on the course! It’s a great way to show our community that mental health is a priority.
🏌️♂️ Register a Team: Grab three friends or colleagues for a day of fresh air and "fore" a great cause.
🎟️ Donate or Attend: Every bit of support helps Greater Giving adapt to the unique needs of those in crisis.
