Project Challenge NC, Inc. is looking for inspired, self-motivated, and youth-centered applicants for an opening as McDowell County Program Coordinator! The position is 80 hours bi-weekly with benefits at $12.47/hr. Project Challenge’s mission is to help youth become confident productive members of their community through the offering of their time and talents and through challenging recreational activities. We provide court-ordered youth with the opportunity to work off their community service hours and restitution.

Requirements:
-Criminal background check
-Valid N.C. Driver’s License with a good driving record
-High School Diploma or GED with work experience
-Excellent time management skills
-Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
-The ability to work with and be part of a team
-The ability to give of yourself to others
-A genuine desire to help delinquent and undisciplined youth become productive members of their community
-Willingness and ability to do manual labor and teach work and life skills
-Willingness and ability to network and find potential community partners
-Overnight travel

Preferred:
-4-year college degree with experience working with at-risk youth
-First Aid/CPR certification
