Wow what a wild time we have been having lately in our community and I hope storms coming don’t make it worse.

I wanted to thank a few people and businesses.

Chill zone, I have yet to meet you but your donations and service can’t be overlooked. Thank you.

Everyone still up at First United Methodist Church and the Emergency Assistance groups for the disaster are special people.

The families who are bringing us garage sale items and unwanted items they are allowing us to pick up, it shows community sharing and is the life blood of charities no matter how big or small.

Just remember that not every charity is legal or approved. Not everyone who seeks help or donations get to where they are intended. Please if you think they are not honest or you have been a victim of fraud, contact local law enforcement or county DA for direction instead of discouraging people of helping others by posting battles on social media. If you help others by gathering funds, keep your records for every penny you raise in case you are not appreciated. We can be an independent third party and we never take a side or a fee. We just want to help and protect both parties.

You can always verify any charity with IRS or Secretary of State / Comptroller’s Office if you have a question.

We offer donation letters and full review of our legal documents to any donor. If you give us $10.00 and want us to verify the need before giving the item to a specific person, we will either give proof the funds were distributed or return them to you. Same thing, we have donors that are helping with building materials, they get a copy of the tax exempt purchase receipt and donation receipt or a personal thank you.

We are small, growing and when this setback is resolved will hopefully earn your trust and respect and you will visit and volunteer and have fun serving our community.

Thank you,
Y-KNOT INC

a “charity with a purpose” where we pay all administrative fees and everyone is a volunteer.

Here is a challenge for you!
I have a bunch of romaine lettuce, assorted boxes of Girl Scout Cookies, bulk fresh carrots, a few honey dew melons and fresh garlic. Do you hero’s out there want a gift?

Says storms are coming around 4 pm today stop by and grab some for free as my charity and me personally want to bless you with free stuff.

I have already taken stuff to food banks and emergency disaster places.

I’m sitting her keeping it loaded till gone

1289 J E Woody road Springtown

Last time it was gone I’m less than an hour. No holds but I can direct you to where you can get food tomorrow if I’m out

You know I was just thinking again… usually not a good moment to sit and think… lol

But thank you to all the site administrators who were having to deal with all these wild posts and messages during all this mess and most likely dealing with things in your properties or families. You kept it all as a lifeline for us when no power and heavy damages. So tats off to each and every one of you.

As the storm impact day moves farther and farther away, services stop and attention fades… those impacted still have lots to do. It can be years before things are normal and for some, they may never get over it. The best thing is that we survived, lots of friends, neighbors, perfect strangers businesses all rallied to help.

As a victim here is what I experienced:

Looters picking up tools I sat down wile in brake or a quick rest in the shade

Constant solicitors like vultures

People stopping to just take internet pictures

Promises to bring help then never showing up (my fault for expecting their promise, but understand many reasons that could change plans for them)

Failure of local utility companies to communicate, failure of our local, county, state officials to respond and if nothing else be honest and consistent in what they publish or post.

Best were:

Neighbors helping each other.
Unknown strangers dropping off snacks, drinks, smiles and prayers.

Stops to assist, free food but more important, a place to eat a meal, hear a normal voice with laughter and smiles and a moment to relax and feel normal away from the mountain of destruction.

The all night businesses that allowed restrooms and peace and many free coffee or drinks immediately afterwards.

It’s not who you are, what you did or how you served during this time. You are hero’s in many of our eyes.

Those scammers / people who snatched things from yards, I’m sure you think you needed it more than me. I will pray for you.

Business owners flooding with cards or flyers I’m sure you had intentions, all the ones I have talked with that need services contacted companies who did not solicit but offered help first and just identified by a business card.

I as a person hit hard but as a charity provider feel blessed by seeing our community in action for each other. No matter where you came from, rich, poor or in middle, how long you have been in the area, like it or not… you have shown you are our community family.

What I hope is that you find churches, organizations or local charities to keep giving blessings and receiving the returns that should be rewarded with.

Thank you for being our hero.

I know I’m stubborn and so used to serving others and helping our community no matter what. But everything is back on but my water, soon I hope that gets fixed.

Did you know that First United Methodist Church in Springtown has opened up as an emergency shelter, open 24 hours and is serving food, and with Red Cross has other services available.

I experienced my first shower since tornado in the shower trailer in the back parking lot provided by Texans on Missions. Just know it’s clean, safe and water so hot I had to turn it down three times. They have towels, soap, shampoo and a bag of toiletries by Red Cross. Made me feel normal like seeing all the trees off my grass in front yard again. If you need it, go use it as it’s another blessing GOD has sent to give you some peace in your world of struggles.

I can’t take without giving so I provided cases of Girl Scout Cookies that were donated to us at Y-Knot INC by Zion Hill Church as part of their Food Bank Ministry.

Who ever donated the Lasagna, it was awesome. Every food place in Springtown was very busy while power has been out, pleas consider calling First United Methodist and donate and excess food and side dishes instead of tossing it. I was told as long as people are needing shelter, they are open.

Ever see a 40+ steel container next to a barbed wire fence get tossed on its side 50+ feet and fence not damaged and huge vehicle parts farther and roll of hay over 2000 feet away? All back where they belong because of great neighbors and willing friends.

Saturday we will have 10+ people and small equipment moving all the brush an limbs from our property to the pasture to dry out so we can burn and that is from the community disaster response group from Greenwood Baptist Church in Weatherford, that single act will help remove damages from five residences on J E Woody Road.

Just remember you can never out bless blessing. The more you give with a true heart, the more blessing you get. I gave cookies and received an amazing shower of hot relaxing water that washed in private my pride, my pain, and burdens of only for a moment.

Give, accept and rejoice that Springtown area is not the crazy out of towners, the old timers or everything else you here on social media, but a group of residents coming together to help in a time of need.

It is our greatest honor to live amongst such great people and to serve with our charity and add more charity services as needed .

We so look forward getting back to serving others and to earning your respect and trust as we are a charity with a purpose.

Hello everyone, we are doing some serious tree cutting but fave three more just in front then five more in back.

Just so you know, we are a IRS licensed approved 501 (c)(3) and registered through the Secretary of State and Texas Comptrollers Office e as a full NonProfit. Every donation goes to a purpose you tell us with a donation letter and proof of purchase/ gift acceptance. Our application is in process for a National Disaster first response of immediate needed items and not cash or checks but needed immediate things each disaster requires.

We are not requesting donations as we are not helping others at this time, however if you are in an organization that you need volunteer hours or have a need for community service hours for ticket or other reason, we could use some labor picking up trash in our property and neighbors property.

If you’re interested, call and leave a message, bring your paperwork to get signed off on . If you have licensed skills / equipment those may offer different rewards as allowed.
Call at (817) 980-8628 and leave a message or visit at 1289 J E Woody Road, Springtown.

We want to earn your trust, support and volunteerism one step at a time. If you need assistance let us know. Anyone we assist will be screened, verified so our donors know their hard earned donations are going to those who need it.

Thank you.

Hey everyone! My place was destroyed in many areas. Can’t access charity area but all the great work continues, just in a different way.

All my equipment was destroyed but donors are replacing things to get back on track when power comes on.

Please remember this, everyone with damage is stressing in so many ways. 20 minutes after tornado stopped, I was handed 20 business cards for estimates. I was busy assisting clear the road and telling people the road was closed ahead and mostly closed behind them.

Yesterday and today hundreds of people soliciting more work and I was trying to see trees cut so I could get back to some kind of normal. Today Channel 4 news was offended when my working interfered with their shot of my house, American Red Cross took many pictures but just blocked road and no offer for assistance, emergency services doing damage survey and very nice Police Chief from Texas Panhandle talking to me and neighbors but no agencies from Parker county or tri county making citizen contact, telling plans or services available. When you have no power, deal with solicitors, people looting tools and just want to ask questions.

There is a time and place for all. Just to show our citizens are great, a lady with four kids stopped and all approached to offer assistance to pull limbs and now my yard looks great and I can see Gods light shining through the massive trees down and buildings badly damaged.

Thank you all for stepping up for neighbors because our Disaster planning by paid elected officials was horrible.

Power is coming soon, breath and pray and realize your alive. Thank you

Sorry we have been very busy working on our front half of our building to get the offices done and display area ready to open soon.

When we open the display area, we will be looking for local artisans who make neat things but don’t have a shop to distribute them. I have a group that make decisions as to what goes in, I’m a guy so they want cute neat stuff, I just want it to smell good and fresh.

In second half, I’m setting up garage sale stuff and making great progress so bunch of new donated products, I have uncovered a bunch of yard, and bunches of specialty yarn, string, ribbons and Christmas new items as well as clothing, carpet cleaners, TV’s and such. This will get set up and then I can add or move around without having to take down or set up until garage location is done. If you are a crafter, we will have stuff for you. As soon as I sort one more area, I will post when the garage sale begins.

Lots happening and especially with all the donations coming in, so special thank you to all the gracious givers. I see people always asking for moving boxes, if you have empty ones, donate to us and we will find a home for them. We want to earn your donations by helping you and connecting things you don’t need with real people in a safe neutral location.

Thank you.
