Today, we honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Their selfless dedication and unrelenting commitment to protecting freedom will never be forgotten.

President Abraham Lincoln once said:
“A nation that does not honor its heroes will not long endure.”

This Memorial Day, Springfield Fire Rescue Division remembers our fallen heroes, supports the families they left behind, and reflects on the profound cost of liberty.

Please join us in congratulating Lieutenant Tyler Baughman for receiving the “Service Above Self” Award from the Springfield Rotary Club.

Lieutenant Baughman’s dedication to serving our community both on and off duty reflects the very best of the fire service. From his leadership within the Division to his continued volunteerism and community involvement, this recognition is truly well deserved.

We are proud to have him representing Springfield Fire Rescue and the City of Springfield. Congratulations, Tyler!
