There are some truly excellent organizations that work tirelessly for the good our city, and one of the lesser known of these organizations is the First Pioneer Valley Dream Center. Located right on Main Street in Springfield’s South End, the Dream Center is on the front lines of meeting some of the city’s most profound needs, especially food insecurity. Today, The Gathering took another step with this ministry partner, spending about 4-5 hours helping rework some of their space to accommodate more people. We were honored to love on them so they can continue loving on others!

Despite school delays, we will be opening at our normal time today. Be extra careful traveling to us and remember we are open until noon so you can wait until later this morning to visit us. There is a lot of ice in front of our building, use caution when entering.

We have been hard at work getting ready for Christmas at the DC. We are open Wednesday, Dec 24th and 31st from 10-12pm. This week we have some small stockings, toys and items to be used as presents. We will even have a wrapping station you can wrap your gift.
And of course our pantry is fully restocked! We brought in over 3000 lbs of food today, including milk, meat, eggs, bread, onions, and lots more!
