Proud to lead a team of such talented individuals. As the old parable goes, it truly takes a village and I’m grateful to have mine.

Earlier this week, I joined East Longmeadow PFLAG for their first listening session on q***r and trans experiences in the region.
It was a thoughtful space for reflection that centered shared responsibility and connection. I am grateful to the organizers for facilitating this session, and I remain committed to ensuring q***r and trans voices shape the work I do every day.

I’m proud to support these two outstanding women in their campaigns for municipal office. I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know both Carolyn Ferros for East Longmeadow and Christina Cooper for East Longmeadow School Committee on the campaign trail, and I am especially impressed by their tenacious drive to create meaningful change in East Longmeadow. Our priorities are closely aligned, so stay tuned for some exciting announcements in the coming days. Don’t forget to get out and vote on June 2👏 for your town elections, East Longmeadow!
Christina Cooper (center) is running as a write-in candidate for East Longmeadow’s School Committee, and Carolyn Ferros (right) is running for a seat on the East Longmeadow Town Council.

Yesterday, Springfield honored Child Abuse Awareness Month with a flag-raising ceremony. As a former educator, I want to remind our community that each of us is a mandated reporter, and protecting children is a responsibility we all share. True progress begins with listening carefully, asking the right questions, and encouraging one another to confront uncomfortable truths. Every child deserves a safe, nurturing home, free from abuse and full of love.
