One shoot is bright and playful.
The next is dark and moody.
Then it’s clean and editorial.
Then colorful product photos.
Then warm and cozy.
So... what’s the common thread?
They all fit the brand they’re created for.
The goal isn’t to make every client look like my brand. The goal is to make every client look like the best version of their brand.
That doesn’t mean I shoot every aesthetic under the sun. I work with brands that align with my style and expertise, then tailor the creative direction to fit their identity, not mine.
Because consistency doesn’t always mean every gallery looks the same. Sometimes, consistency means every gallery feels intentional.
Your content should feel instantly recognizable to the people you’re trying to reach. Every color, location, angle, and edit should support the story your business is telling.
That’s what branding photography is really about.

Random thought of the day. Working for yourself comes with a lot of freedom. It also comes with a lot of quiet.
No coworkers. No random conversations. No one sitting in the office next to you.
Every once in a while, the “no coworker blues” definitely hit.
But then I look at my week.
Every client I get to brainstorm with.
Every business owner who trusts me with their brand.
Every conversation that reminds me why I started this in the first place.
I may work for myself, but I never really feel like I’m building this alone.

Lately, I’ve been working with people across many comfort levels. Some step in front of the camera without a second thought. Others are understandably nervous, and honestly, that’s more common than you might think.
One thing I don’t think people realize is that a big part of my job has nothing to do with camera settings or the hook. It’s reading the room, adjusting my approach, and helping people feel comfortable enough to be themselves.
One of my favorite moments was filming with a surgical tech in the operating room. (Not during surgery) He had a lot of nervous energy, so I looked at him and said, “Want to do some jumping jacks?” We both did a quick set together, and afterward he laughed and said, “Wow... that actually worked.” It was smooth sailing from there.
Those little moments matter.
The photos and videos are important, but if you leave feeling more confident than when you walked in, that’s the part I’m most proud of.
