Africa's Hope

Shawn & Megan Deal are AGWM missionaries to Uganda with a zeal for leadership training and church planting. They have played an instrumental role in launching a new ministry training center in Kampala, the capital and one of the fastest-growing cities in Africa today.

After their first day of classes, teaching Old Testament Survey from the Discovery Series by Africa’s Hope, Shawn posted:

“Tonight marked the beginning of something far bigger than a launch—it was the start of a movement.

We stepped into a moment we truly believe will leave a lasting impact on East Africa by bringing gospel access to the unengaged and unreached.

The very first students of the Ugandan Assemblies of God Bible School in Kampala are not just attending classes—they are being equipped to carry the hope of Christ into places that have never heard His name.

Lives will be changed. Communities will be transformed. Nations can be reached. These students are world changers, and tonight was the first spark.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude that God would allow us to play even a small part in what He is doing.”

Africa's Hope partners with over 400 training centers that represent more than 27,000 students training in 14 heart languages. These statistics show the reach of Africa's Hope across the continent, but the reason we resource this training is because Spirit-empowered, biblically trained leaders are the hope of Africa!
