Time well spent in Springfield, IL supporting Nuclear Matters Advocacy Day and attending the Illinois Chamber of Commerce 2026 Chamber Day earlier this week. The Chamber delivered a strong program focused on how Illinois can power new economic opportunities across the state, including serving growing large-load users like data centers while keeping affordability for consumers at the forefront.
Those conversations also reinforced the critical role nuclear energy plays in maintaining a reliable, around-the-clock power supply that supports economic growth, strengthens the grid, and helps keep costs stable for families and businesses.
We also heard from an outstanding lineup of leaders, including the Speaker and Senate Minority Leader John Curran.
Special thanks for the warm welcome and continued support of the nuclear industry to State Senator Sue Rezin, State Senator Chris Balkema, House Leader Tony McCombie, Rep. Jason R. Bunting, Rep. Norine Hammond, Rep. Jackie Haas, Rep. Marcus Evans, and Senate Minority Leader John Curran.
We even had the chance to run into Gov. Pritzker in the elevator and thank him for taking action to help ensure Illinois remains a nuclear leader in America.
Strong leadership, meaningful conversations, and continued momentum for Illinois’ energy future.
