The Creepatorium

The Creepatorium is an ever growing home haunt in sleepy Springfield, Vermont. We operate on Halloween night, yearly, from sundown until the crowds dissipate. And then, like the ghosts we are, we disappear until the next year.

This year, I wanted to take some pics of our tombstones, because they deserve love. Well, maybe not so much the store-bought generic "rest in pieces" ones (they are fine, but they are just there to fill space). The real stars are just the old AF wood slabs with simple carvings. Now, I love seeing people's fancy hand crafted original tombstones, but there is beauty in simplicity. I didn't make these (someone did ... they were given to me years ago, and I think the person who gave them to me got them in a lot at an auction or something, so I don't think he made them either), and they are simple, but every year they get a little more weather worn and beaten, and I just love how old and authentic they look.
