Just returned from a spectacular hunt in South Africa with the whole family. The boys were hunting with a .300 Holland and Holland McKinley rifle that a very generous client and friend loaned them for a hunt in the Karoo with We built the rifle on a Granite Mountain Arms action and it features a fully integral barrel with a quarter rib, sling swivel, and front sight. The muzzle is threaded for a suppressor, which isn't the most traditional look but made the rifle very pleasant to shoot and manageable for my sons. Our youngest son (aged 11) made a perfect shot on a black wildebeest at 340 yards!

Adventure awaits…
My favorite part of the stockmaking process. The initial sealing coat of finish, when you catch a glimpse of the figure the wood holds. Over the next month or two of oil finishing this will be amplified.
