Cotton Hill United Methodist Church
As followers of Christ, we want to share with others the great love and grace that has been made available to us through Jesus Christ.
Psalm 23 is one of the most familiar passages in all of Scripture. We memorize it as children, we hear it read at funerals, and we return to it in seasons of uncertainty or fear. Yet its promise is not that we will avoid dark valleys or uncertain times. Its promise is that the Good Shepherd remains with us wherever the path may lead.
This morning's message explores the goodness, mercy, and love of God found in green pastures and dark valleys.

As I step into this pulpit for the last time, this familiar Psalm will be there to greet us and remind us that our Shepherd always goes before us. Our steadiness and peace come not from favorable situations or controllable circumstances, but from the constant presence and love of God.
I hope you'll worship with us at 10:30 this morning, as we give thanks to God for all we have been given and all that lies ahead.
Sooner or later, night falls on us all.
There are seasons when the plans we've made and the things we've relied upon can no longer hold us together. Seasons when we realize we're exhausted from trying to secure a future we cannot control.
In Genesis 28, Jacob reaches a similar level of exhaustion. Alone in the wilderness, worn out from running and striving, he falls asleep with a rock for a pillow. And it is there, in the place most would consider empty and unusable, that he discovers the presence and peace of God.
Join us at 10:30 am this morning as we explore what it means to find rest, grace, and God's presence in seasons of transition, grief, or uncertainty.
What happens when our vision of Jesus becomes too small?
In uncertain times, it’s easy to hand our hope, identity, and peace over to things that promise stability but were never meant to carry that kind of weight. Little by little, the voices around us begin shaping the way we see the world, ourselves, and even what matters most.
This Sunday, we’ll talk about what it means to trust the One who is before all things, above all things, and the One in whom all things hold together.
If life feels unsteady right now, this message is for you. We’d love to worship with you this Sunday at 10:30 am.
