So… why SHOULD you hire a retreat photographer?

Can’t you just do it yourself? Take photos on your phone throughout the retreat?

Or if you yourself are also a photographer, take photos on your own camera?

Or rely on your attendees to take photos on their phones and share them with you?

Yes. You can do any of these options. And let me tell you, it would be a lot cheaper!

BUT let me tell you why you shouldn’t make one of these choices and why you should instead hire a retreat photographer to photograph your retreat.

1. You want your attendees to be fully in the moment. Sure you want them to take their own photos here and there so they can document their own experience for themselves, but you also want them to be fully present when they are in a class or in a workshop or a ceremony. Not trying to capture content for you or themselves.

2. Chances are you are already doing a million things during your retreat. You are checking in with your retreat team to keep everyone on schedule. You are delegating tasks. You are checking in with your attendees to make sure everyone is having fun, feeling comfortable, enjoying themselves. If you didn’t hire a chef (which I also recommend hiring a retreat chef!) or you aren’t at an all inclusive property, then you are prepping and cooking three meals a day. And also restocking snacks. You are teaching. After the retreat you are cleaning up, probably offering integration 1:1’s, decompressing because you just held so much space and took in so much energy! You don’t need to add taking photos and editing them to your list.

3. If you are also facilitating a class or workshop or ceremony at your retreat, trying to take photos during that will only take you out of the moment and out of the flow. And your attendees can feel that.

4. You deserve to fully immerse yourself in the retreat experience that you’ve created. You deserve to pause and be in the moment.

Also just look through these photos and if that isn’t reason enough! ✨

2025 ✨

A year full of a lot of fun, beautiful, magical, pinch me moments. But also a lot of emotions, uncertainties, overwhelm, and questioning.

I’m so grateful for this year and the opportunities it brought me, for the travel I got to do, for the moments I got to experience, for my wonderful clients, for my family and friends, for ❤️

I’m excited for the change 2026 will bring and to continue to grow in both my personal and professional life in the year of the horse ✨
