Flea Market To Fabulous

Every opportunity to custom create is an honor and privilege. But weddings are extra special. The beginning of a new chapter surrounded by people who have loved the couple throughout their lives. You’ve seen the progress of this piece- once an antique bed and a vintage bookcase. Then it was a useful wedding prop will become a hall tree in the newlywed’s home. Petals and Co put on an amazing floral display and the setup was an expression of vintage charm. Congrats to to both families and thanks for letting us be part of this fairytale wedding❤️.

What’s been going on? Lots of the things we do best- reinventing the furniture you bring us to become fabulous. Two identical dressers came in with two very different futures. One classic and the other a bit more dramatic for a little girl’s room. Black and stain combo never disappoints especially with sleek vintage hardware. But the other was a bit more challenging finding the exact color the customer visioned. But we remix as needed until the perfect color is achieved. The top was a laminate product that couldn’t be lightened so we did a paint technique for a light wood effect. Metallic gold detail on drawers and vintage hardware were like jewels making the dress amazing. And we made one little girl feel like a princess.

What’s been going on?…..Where do we begin? The past two weeks have been filled with our working shop working overtime. Soooo many custom creations in the works it’s a bit of a traffic jam. Here’s a peak at one very special project. It’s wouldn’t be wedding season without some fabulous props and wedding decor. We took an antique bed and Marie’s the head board and footboard with a bookshelf and cool legs. When complete it will be a guests seating chart. Post wedding it will be a hall tree in the newlyweds home. To be continued.
