Friday - a free concert, followed by fireworks! (Say that five times fast 😄)

The SSO's salute to America's 250th anniversary is this Friday, July 3 at 8 PM at the Veterans Park Amphitheater.

Grab some concessions, bring the lawn chairs, and settle in for an evening honoring our nation and our veterans, capped off by Buck Creek Boom fireworks right after the concert.

This is the kind of summer night Springfield does best. See you there!

Have you ever wondered what a multi-million dollar violin sounds like? 🎻

Joshua Bell performs on the "Gibson ex Huberman" Stradivarius, crafted in 1713. It's one of the most famous violins in the world. It was stolen twice in its history (once from a Carnegie Hall dressing room in 1936!) before Bell acquired it decades later.

Three hundred years of history, sound, and story in the hands of one of the greatest living violinists.
