LGB and its baseball complex has made it a primary goal to focus on building character in young players by teaching them the importance of being a positive influence on their team and in life. We feel that society has put more pressure on kids to win today, and basically disregarded many of the principles that would have made them ev
en more successful as adults. Important Principles:

Establishing Habits of Giving Back
Preparation (Practice)
Teamwork
Respect for the game, themselves, and others
Developing Friendships for a lifetime. We believe if we can strengthen these traits in kids, it will build their passion for the game of baseball, and more importantly, their compassion for people, and the community. Not just final scores! Charitable work will be recognized, just as an outstanding defensive play would be. Academics will be of importance and monitored just the same as pitch counts. Our kid’s will be required to give some of their time to good causes. They will be asked to hold a certain level of standards. We believe we can have good kids, and still compete at a high level. In fact we know we can! On a regular basis we will hold baseball tournaments that raise money for other charitable organizations, or good causes in our community. This will not only raise money, but awareness for many who need it. Our kids will get firsthand exposure to this. We will provide fields for teams to practice on at no cost. We will raise money for those who can’t afford some of the high costs that go along with playing baseball. We will provide an awesome place for local teams to play, and at the same time bring in others from different areas to enjoy a weekend of baseball in Springfield! We have a vision of classic unique fields that will draw many for good causes, and great baseball. We need your help. Be part of what we are building on and off the field!
