Rotary Park Pollinator Garden update. July 30, 2025 - Eight months ago, we embarked on a transformative journey, converting 1600 square feet of turf into a thriving haven for pollinators. Following the removal of turf, mulching, and planting native species of pollinator perennials in May, the garden has flourished under perfect growing conditions. A combination of rain, heat, and humidity has sparked an explosion of growth, with eight species now in bloom. Most notably, our milkweed has successfully attracted the majestic Monarch, our State Insect, and the nursery is now teeming with new life. We're thrilled to report our first Monarch caterpillar, and eagerly anticipate the next generation.
