Temperatures will increase this weekend, with the hottest conditions on Monday and Tuesday when heat index values will top out at 95-105.

Scattered afternoon and evening showers and storms will move through the region Wednesday and Thursday. Locations along and south of I-44 have the highest chances for rain. Rainfall amounts will be highly variable.

Low rain chances return to locations southeast of Springfield on Tuesday however higher chances return on Wednesday. Temperatures will remain in the 80s through the week with 90s returning by the end of the week and into next weekend.
