What do we do about these problems?
1. Riverbank erosion - conduct riparian plantings.
2. Nutrient runoff - create personalized nutrient management plans for homeowners to reduce fertilizer runoff.
3. Litter - host river cleanups, removing thousands of pounds of trash each year.
4. Failing septic tanks - educate homeowners on septic maintenance and provide rebates to encourage routine pump outs.
5. Invasive species - fund invasive species removal projects.
