🍔 Firing up the grill this weekend? Keep your cookout safe: cook meats to a safe internal temp, keep cold foods below 40°F, and don't let dishes sit out longer than 2 hours (1 hour if it's 90°F+). A little prep keeps the celebration happy and healthy. Happy grilling! 🌭💚

💧 Drinking enough water this summer? It might matter more than you think.

Dehydration doesn't just make you feel tired — it can directly affect how your medications work in your body.

A few examples:
🔸 Blood pressure medications can drop your BP too low if you're dehydrated
🔸 Diuretics ("water pills") increase your need for fluids
🔸 NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) can stress your kidneys if you're not drinking enough
🔸 Some diabetes meds work less effectively when you're dehydrated
🔸 Lithium levels can rise dangerously with dehydration

A good rule of thumb: aim for half your body weight in ounces of water per day — more if you're outside or active.

If you're not sure how your medications interact with summer heat and hydration, ask us. It's literally what we're here for. 💚
