Youāve watched this girl come up through the ranks. Every certification. Every step forward. Every good decision along the way. Sierra put in the work. And she finally met the whole reason for it.
His name is Robert.
We wish you couldāve been in the room for it. From the second these two locked eyes, it was tails and grins and that easy, unspoken thing you canāt train into a dog ā chemistry. You either have it or you donāt, and these two have it in spades. Robert couldnāt stop smiling. Sierraās entire back half was wagging.
So hereās where Sierraās story goes next: Robertās got a battle buddy in his corner now, someone to help him carry the weight of PTSD. And Sierraās got her mission ā a shelter dog turned service dog, standing right where she was always meant to be.
Welcome to the team, Robert. Youāre in excellent paws.

K9s For Camo presents A Night of Valor, and this year's theme is Denim & Diamonds.
Join us on October 23rd, 2026 for an evening built around the mission we show up for every day: supporting veterans through highly trained service dogs, and giving rescue dogs a real purpose.
This is a night to come together, celebrate the work, and stand behind the veterans and dogs at the heart of it all.

Mission: Armed Forces Night at Kauffman Stadium.
Objective: connect with Royals fans, spread the word about K9s For Camo.
Status: complete.
Casualties: none, unless you count our K9s, who were outranked by a battalion of pint-sized recruits (aka every kid in the stadium) and surrendered within minutes ā no kidding. Attempts to maintain "on duty" composure failed almost immediately. Tails were wagging. Bellies were up. The mission had, unofficially, become a belly rub tour of Kauffman Stadium.
Morale among the troops (human and canine) was high all night.
We swapped stories with fans, met so many people curious about our work, and soaked in every bit of the Armed Forces Night energy.
The Royals came up just short against the Rays, 5-2, but from our corner of the stadium, Thursday night was a clear win.
Thanks to the Kansas City Royals for having us out and giving us the space to share what we do!
