Slow Food Springfield (IL)
Slow Food Springfield is a chapter of the Slow Food movement founded in Italy in 1986 by Carlo Petrini, to protest the encroachment by fast food chains on the traditional Mediterranean lifestyle.
Happy Terra Madre Day!
"In a world filled with uncertainty, gathering around a shared table reminds us of what truly matters: connection, care, and the power we hold when we come together. That’s why we invite people to join us in celebrating Terra Madre Day, a powerful act of resistance against industrial food systems and a global affirmation of our commitment to food sovereignty, fair producer prices, and the defense of agroecology as the path toward a just and regenerative future.”
