American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network - ACS CAN

Research funding decisions should be made by scientists reviewing the science. A proposed federal rule could change that, adding a political review step before funding decisions are made, and making it easier to cancel research grants mid-stream.

Fight CRC is pushing back. We submitted a formal public comment opposing these changes, and locked arms with our partner organizations in the cancer community as part of coalition letters raising the same concerns.

Colore**al cancer patients need a research pipeline that's stable and science-driven, not one that shifts with politics. That's the case we made to OMB.

Meet Judy Caswell!

In 2016, Judy was diagnosed with stage III re**al cancer at 56 after noticing symptoms she thought were related to age and intense marathon training.
Since finishing chemotherapy, Judy has run 188 races. Today, she is NED and continues to be closely monitored for precancerous polyps.

Her diagnosis led both of her sons to get screened early. Both had precancerous adenomas removed, and neither developed colore**al cancer.
