What are PHISHERS??
Phishers attmept to steal your money or information through the use of lies and manipulation.

How is it done?
Phishers send you an email that appears to be from a trusted source such as a bank or other financial institution. Within this email, they will normally place a link and ask you to click on it and verify personal or account information. Once you click on the link, it will take you to a website that looks identical to the real website. If you enter your information, it will go directly to the phisher.

How can you tell?
Is the email unsolicited? Does the email look unproffessional? Are there misspellings or gramatical errors in the body of the email? Are they asking you to click on a link or file and verify your personal or account information? If you answered YES to these questions, chances are it is a phishing email.

What to do?
Never click on links or files from emails you do not recognize and ask you to provide or verify your personal or account information. Go direclty to the website by typing it on the browser rather than clicking on the link. Delete suspicious emails immediately without opening them.

Remember...NEVER provide sensitive information to unknown solicitors.
