If a shop knows A/M parts are inferior to OEM why would they use them in repairs?
Bottom line is this....
OEM I make between 20-35% profit depending on manufacture.
A/M I make between 50-100% profit.
I spend roughly 1 million dollars on parts every year. It costs me no less than 150k a year to put OEM parts on your car.
That's a decision we easily make every day. Your safety means more to me then extra profit does. Make sure when you choose a repair facility that feels the same way.
P.S If they tell you we can't match it for the price insurance is willing to pay. It's because they are choosing profits over your safety. We do it daily on over 95% of our claims.
