Today some of the youth got to check out Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop and we had such a fun time together! šŸā˜ŗļø

Our next outing will be Friday, May 29th from 6-8PM and we are heading to Buc-ee's! 🦫✨

If you would like to attend, please make sure to meet us at the church by 6PM. In order to go, you MUST have a parent-signed waiver and permission slip turned in before leaving. We have to have those on file, so don’t forget!

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Dylan! We can't wait to hang out with you again šŸ’œ

Tonight at youth we played Clap Slap Cup, and honestly it was so much fun watching them play!

But after the games, we shifted gears and talked about one of the most uncomfortable topics to discuss with teenagers — s*x.

Not in a ā€œhealth classā€ kind of way, but through a Biblical perspective.
We talked about God’s perfect design for marriage between husband and wife, how He created us with purpose, and how being fruitful and multiplying was part of His design from the very beginning.

These conversations can feel awkward sometimes, but they matter so much.
The world is loud about these topics, so it’s important our teens also hear truth, love, and God’s intention behind them.
Really thankful for a group of teens willing to listen, ask questions, and have real conversations tonight. šŸ’œ

There is something so incredible about getting to watch our youth step into the calling God has placed on their lives. šŸ’œ

This is Aven. She’s been faithfully serving on a worship team for years now, but recently been serving at Maiden Lane and it’s been such a gift to watch her grow.
She doesn’t just have a beautiful voice, she carries a heart that truly seeks to worship the Savior in everything she does.

It’s more than talent she offers, it’s surrender.
It’s obedience.
It’s saying yes to whatever God has in front of her.
We are so blessed to witness her walking in His plans for her life, and we can’t wait to see all that He continues to do through her. šŸ™Œ

We love you, Aven!!

Fearing God isn’t about being afraid,
it’s about honoring Him,
respecting His power,
and responding to His voice.

In Jonah 3, the people of Nineveh heard God’s warning and chose to turn back to Him and He met them with mercy.
That’s what a healthy fear of God does, it leads us closer, not farther away.

Join us Wednesday night at 6:30pm as we talk more about what it looks like to live with that kind of reverence. Bring a friend, we’d love to see you šŸ’œ

Come join us Wednesday as we continue our series through Jonah!

This week we are diving into Chapter 2, which is a rather short chapter, but still a powerful reminder that we can cry out to God wherever we are!
We will also talk about how God may use those moments where you feel the most broken to bring you back to Him!

So come see us Wednesday at 6:30 at Maiden Lane Church of God to learn more about Jonah šŸ‹

What better way to kick off the book of Jonah than playing a game with a whale? šŸ‹

Tonight we dove into chapter one and saw something real,
God calls each of us, and sometimes, we run.
We ignore it, avoid it, or pretend we didn’t hear it at all.

But Jonah reminds us that God doesn’t just give up on us when we run.
He pursues us.
He redirects us.
And sometimes, He allows things in our lives to get our attention and bring us back to where we’re supposed to be.
Maybe not a literal whale🤣 but moments that make us pause, reflect, and turn back to Him.

The question is,

When God calls, will we run or will we trust Him enough to follow?
