Autumn Trails Stable Equine-Assisted Services Center
is a non-profit 501c3 organization that offers a therapeutic horseback riding program for children and adults. We strive to promote increased confidence in our students through using horses as therapists. We like to have fun while teaching our students a riding skill and increasing their strength and stability both physically and mentally. We could not exist without amazing volunteers and donations from the community.

Growth doesn’t always happen through big moments. Sometimes it happens through the little things. 💙🐴
At this week’s Bridging Hearts & Horses, our participants continued working through transitions, practicing flexibility as routines and situations changed. While those moments can be challenging, they also provide valuable opportunities to build confidence, emotional regulation, and resilience.
Participants also learned new skills around the barn, including how to safely pick a horse’s hooves and help fill water buckets. These hands-on responsibilities teach much more than horse care. They foster patience, responsibility, problem-solving, and the confidence that comes from mastering something new.
Every task has a purpose. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow. And every week, we’re reminded that some of life’s biggest lessons are learned right here at the barn.

Wednesday’s lessons took our riders on another fun trail adventure! 🐴🦆💙
As they steered through obstacles and collected ducks along the way, our participants practiced communication, teamwork, and riding skills in a fun and engaging way.
For several of our riders, though, the biggest accomplishment wasn’t on the trail. It was navigating change.
Whether it was working with a new volunteer or riding a new horse, transitions can be challenging. At Autumn Trails Stable, we know that learning to adapt to new situations is an important life skill. With the support of our horses, volunteers, and instructors, our participants are building resilience, flexibility, and confidence that extends far beyond the barn.
We are so proud of each rider for embracing new challenges and continuing to grow, one lesson at a time. 💙

We’re running a little behind this week on posts - it’s been non-stop trying to keep horses healthy!
Tuesday’s Adaptive Riding lessons took our riders on a pretend trail ride full of adventure! 🐴🦆💙
Along the way, riders navigated obstacles, collected ducks, and worked together to complete their journey. While it looked like fun and games, they were building important skills every step of the way.
The activity encouraged riders to practice steering, communicate clearly with their team, and work together to overcome each challenge. It’s amazing how much learning can happen when confidence, creativity, and horses come together!
We love creating lessons that are engaging, purposeful, and filled with opportunities for every rider to grow.

Today got away from us, but we didn’t want to miss ! We’re in desperate need of basket manure forks! Tractor Supply typically has them. Or send a TSC gift card and we will order them. We’re in need of 3-4.
