Hello,
I had a lot of inspirations for my playlist for this Sunday, April 26 on The Mulberry Tree. Sam Robbins visited Springfield recently, so he is beginning the program and is my featured sneak peek playlist video artist, presenting his song “Piles of Sand.” Sam will be followed by wide-ranging styles from songwriters who we haven’t heard from for a while on The Mulberry Tree, some who have never been featured on the program before, and tracks from songwriters who were born to well-known songwriters. Toward the end of the program I will feature a short dedication to the late Rik Thomas, a treasured musician from Springfield. Enjoy Sam’s video and I’ll meet you around the tree with him and the following:

Hayes and the Heathens
Poco
Tuck and Patti
Teddy Thompson
Linda Ronstadt
Gordon Lightfoot
Iron and Wine

Hello,
I’ll be sharing songs appropriate for springtime on the next edition of The Mulberry Tree, airing this coming Sunday, April 19. One of the cool things about music is that songwriters have the ability to paint a vivid picture for you so you can experience the who, what, when and where of their vision. You’ll have plenty of opportunity to do just that with my planned lineup of songs. This week’s sneak peek playlist features an excerpt of The Weepies’ song “Hummingbird.” It’s that time of year when the hummingbirds arrive at feeders, so keep your eyes out! Meet you around the tree with:
Nickel Creek
Erica Wheeler
Bruce Springsteen
Arlo Guthrie
The Weepies
Greg Brown
Joni Mitchell
Guy Clark

Kate Wolf
James Taylor
