Self-examination is part of every philosophical and religious tradition. It is healthy seeing our faults and aiming for improvement. There is a deeper level we must explore to enjoy full freedom: discovering the critical moments of rejection, trauma, and wounding that still affect our lives. This is not victimhood, but a vital part of the pathway to victory. With God’s help good friends, and professionals, we can live more hopefully.

Each day of Holy Week I am asking the Lord to help me and everyone I know enjoy new dimensions of Jesus’s forgiving, healing, delivering, and reconciling grace. Soli Deo Gloria and Venite, Spiritus Sanctus.
