Heather Nelson This hobby has been a fun creative outlet for me and I love being able to share with people a little bit of Japanese culture and introduce them to Japanese textiles.

I’ve been testing out some different patterns/ideas. Will take some better pictures later this week.

Didn’t do a whole lot of sewing over the holidays😬! I did make my youngest daughter, myself and I matching dresses-my other daughter didn’t want a matching dress-I guess she’s too cool to match with her mom and sister😂😂! I did finish three reversible kimono bags this week-I should have them up on my Etsy site by this weekend! Now I’m trying to decide what my next project should be!

My friend had this really cool obi with Japanese figures on it she sent to me along with a kimono, which I used for the lining of the purse and zipper bag. She wanted a big purse that would fit everything and a zipper pouch to go inside! I love how they turned out!!
