I was born on the border between the United States and Canada in Newport, Vermont. I am an interdisciplinary artist whose approach combines elements of acrylic painting, digital photography, written word and performance. In 2009 I received a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies
Join me and my fabulous Co-Director, Kelly Silliman for a fun workshop on telling the story of you and your art!
What if I paired some of the writing from my journals with the creation of my art??
In the journal of this woman’s alchemy, I have written that rebirth arrives many times. At twenty-five it felt like part experimentation and part exploration - new elements gathered eagerly, identities tried on like clothing before a mirror. But at fifty-five the work feels like a different kind of initiation. The fire is steadier now. I am not reinventing myself again; I am refining, distilling what remains after years devoted to others, to partnership, to family, to becoming. There is, too, the unbinding of a marriage: the seen and unseen, the sometimes fierce separation of elements that once formed a shared life.
I am becoming keenly aware of my patterns, my wounds, and my gifts. Strangely, refinement requires remembering. The formula calls for the woman I was before responsibility claimed so much space within me. I am curious about the one who knew instinctively how to wander, wonder, and play. And so I practice again these partially forgotten arts - curiosity, mischief, delight - rediscovering that essence is not something newly made, but something practiced and patiently uncovered.

The Midnight Song of Petalwing
Deep within a secret glade, where the moon hangs low and the flowers lean in to listen, lives Petalwing—the most whimsical fairy of them all. With wings dusted in twilight hues and cheeks round as ripe peaches, she doesn’t flutter so much as plop through the air with great determination. Tonight, she has discovered her voice—a booming, operatic note that startles the calla lilies, makes the orchids sway, and even coaxes shy blossoms to bloom. It is not the delicate trill one might expect from a fairy, but a bold, earth-shaking hymn that echoes through the midnight garden, summoning laughter, wonder, and the occasional startled beetle.
