We are all very excited to welcome our newest team member, Yvonne Brotzman.

Yvonne will be reporting to Stephanie Miller as an Ultrasound Applications Specialist. She is a major talent to beef up our fast-growing segment. Yvonne impersonates our “Make It Happen” culture with an impressive wealth of clinical experience – see her credentials below-.

Yvonne Brotzman, B.S., RDMS, RVT, RDCS has been in the field for the past 28 years and is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Diagnostic Medical Program. Yvonne also holds a B.S. in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Adventist University of Health Sciences.

Yvonne is triple registered in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (OB/GYN and Abdomen), Technology, and Adult . Her first 16 years in ultrasound were spent in the clinical setting performing various ultrasound procedures, including general, vascular, cardiac, biopsies, amniocentesis., neonatal heads, and pediatric ultrasound.

For the last 14 years, she has been the Program Director, Clinical Coordinator, and Vascular Technology and Ultrasound Physics instructor at the UMBC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program in Baltimore.

Yvonne lives in Hanover, MD, and has been married for 25 years. She has three wonderful children. Her oldest is an aerospace engineer for Raytheon Technologies. Her middle child is a nursing major in his junior year at the Catholic University of America. Her youngest is also a student at the Catholic University of America and currently is an English major with a teaching concentration in her freshman year. She enjoys running, latches, hook crafts, and dancing.

On a gorgeous Fall Saturday in Nashville, TN., many people would be attending a Vanderbilt Football Game, touring the Country Music Hall of Fame, or taking a stroll downtown on Broadway. The National Healthcare Distributors (NHD) chose to meet to discuss ways to reduce supply chain costs to better patient care.

Twenty-One Dealers (Shareholder Owners) came together from Alaska to Maine to strategize how to better serve our Hospital GPO’s and IDN’s. Some of the names have changed as we enter our 28th year, but the commitment to provide “Best in Class” products and services remains strong. The strategy of offering excellent local service at highly competitive pricing continues to be our strength.

In summary, special thanks to all the great associates representing our companies, who continue to work relentlessly to serve our dedicated front-line Healthcare Workers.

"We recently had a service appointment with X-ray Visions and their technician, Tobe, who arrived and began work on the machine in question. He was working in our treatment room and overheard a conversation between a young veterinarian and me. The young veterinarian was upset as she had just recently entered practice and had gotten a message that one of her patients from the previous day had worsened and the owners were going to take her patient to another veterinarian for care. She was upset and felt a bit lost as she was not only dealing with apparent personal failure but client dissatisfaction.

I encouraged her to gather herself and call the owner to discuss the case and be sure she was doing everything possible to help the patient improve, even if the care was going to be provided at another facility. She had dutifully prepared records, shipped them to the owner, the referral veterinarian, and called the owner to discuss her patient's status. I left for the day, but Tobe was in the room and noted she was still upset and approached her. He explained to her that he and his wife had found the veterinarian they had been looking for, and they wanted to bring their pets to our young and dejected veterinarian. He explained to her how impressed he was by her obvious care and concern for the patient and the owner. He told her that anyone that cared that much would do well and the only person he would trust with his animals.

I know Tobe did not realize the positive effect he would have on our young veterinarian as he had never seen her before and did not know her, but his words saved her from what was not looking like a good day. He allowed her to see what is really valued and see past the immediate success or failure of a given treatment plan. I greatly appreciate Tobe’s candor and obvious concern for others. His efforts not only changed her day but will likely have a lasting effect on our young and very compassionate veterinarian."
