Their call remains clear: to train a new generation of leaders through Christian higher education. In 2013, David joined Global University as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Theology. Learning at the graduate level prepares students to provide leadership as ministers, educators, and organizational leaders. Prior to their missionary appointment, David and Ruth served as lead pastors,
associate pastors, and worship leaders. Most recently, David served as President of American Indian College (Phoenix, AZ). Why Global University? David and Ruth give four reasons why they are enthusiastic about their opportunity to connect their ministry with the school:
1. Leaders and workers are the most important resource for evangelism and discipleship. Reading Matthew 9:35-38 one finds that Jesus identified “laborers” as the primary focus of prayer for the harvest.
2. Everyone has heard the proverb that giving a man a fish feeds him for a day while teaching him to fish feeds him for a lifetime. Global University teaches men and women “how to fish.”
3. Ministry training must be accessible. Global University provides a high-quality, cost-efficient theological training for ministry around the world, including the United States.
4. For decades, Global University has proven itself as an effective tool for evangelism, discipleship, and leadership training. The university has seen an explosion of opportunity in the U.S and in many nations. Now is the time to train leaders for the harvest!
