✨ Spotlight: Meet Jordan ✨

Meet Jordan Duda! She is 32 years old and her Diaversary is 3/3/19.

Jordan was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 25 years old. At the time, she was already grown, married, working as a pediatric nurse, and had just been accepted into a doctorate program to become a nurse practitioner.

After experiencing weight loss, extreme thirst, and waking up constantly throughout the night, Jordan borrowed her younger sister’s glucometer (who also has Type 1 Diabetes). When the screen read “HI,” she knew exactly what was happening. She headed to the ER and the rest is history.

Although a Type 1 diagnosis is never something anyone hopes for, Jordan says her “broken pancreas” has brought her connection and relatability. Through her own journey, she has been able to support and encourage others both personally and professionally.

✨ 3 fun facts about Jordan:
🎨 She makes stained glass and learned from her uncle when she was 13 years old.
🥋 She is technically an undefeated cage fighter! She only fought twice and later realized she loved Jiu-Jitsu more than MMA, but she faced her fears and came out on top.
✈️ She loves to travel and wants to see as many new places as possible. So far she has visited 6 countries across 3 continents!
