Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Sydney. Following graduation, she is considering intensive care nursing opportunities and plans to move forward with her lifelong dream of pursuing a singing career in Nashville. Sydney’s favorite Witt memory is of participating in FIRE week with the nursing cohort. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Morgan. Following graduation, she is open to the many opportunities the nursing profession offers. In the future, Morgan would like to become a nurse practitioner and earn her doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) degree. While at Witt, she participated on the women’s golf team, was a simulation laboratory assistant, served on the Panhellenic Council as Chief Justice for two years, served on the Class of 2024 Student Senate cabinet for three years, and has held multiple positions in Alpha Delta Pi. Morgan’s favorite Witt memory is witnessing a baby being born during her first obstetric clinical experience. Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Bridget. After graduation, she plans to work as an emergency nurse in Chicago. In the future, Bridget plans to become a nurse practitioner specializing in wound care. Eventually, she aspires to work at a VA hospital caring for veterans who gave so many years of their lives for our freedom. While at Witt, she was involved in women’s basketball during her freshman and sophomore years and served as the National Society of Leadership & Success President for the past two years. Bridget’s favorite Witt memory was giving her first bed bath with Kylee and Laney when they were sophomores, caring for a very kind patient with such high spirits. Bridget thanks her parents for their never-ending support and encouragement, Dr. Gersch for believing in her when she had trouble believing in herself, and Dr. Short, Professor Gilson, Professor Yeager, and Dr. Rebar for pushing her and her cohort to be the best versions of themselves in the profession of nursing. We are so proud of you, Bridget! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯

Senior BSN feature! Today’s senior & soon-to-be graduate is Kylee. After graduation, she plans to work on a cardiac intensive care stepdown unit. In the future, Kylee will be pursuing certification as a diabetic educator. While at Witt, she was involved in women’s basketball, Gamma Phi Beta, and NSLS; she was also a student worker in the nursing laboratory and SAAC. Kylee’s favorite Witt memory was in freshman year when learning to obtain blood pressure; she couldn’t hear anything in her stethoscope when the cuff was applied. She “freaked out” and raised her hand that she heard something (although she didn’t) because she was so nervous. As it turned out, that was the whole purpose of the exercise - nothing can be heard until the cuff is inflated! Kylee thanks her cohort for always being there for her, and being a great support system. She also sends huge thanks to the professors who spent countless hours ensuring that she received an outstanding education and opportunities to grow in her academic experience. We are so proud of you, Kylee! ~ 💉🩺🩹💊📚✏️💻🍎🐯
