If a client says they have a knot, I understand what they mean. Something hurts or feels tight , it often feels good to push on and they would like me to do that. However, I always let them know that there is no physical knots and they do not need to “work it out.” If a massage therapist or PT says I have knots, I don’t go back. Muscle knots are more about marketing for the therapist than anything wrong with your body!
