Sometimes, the highest walls built between people aren't made of stone, but of impossible standards. But when those standards become a barrier to connection, everyone loses.

True impact often requires a shift in perspective: choosing grace over perfection and prioritizing the heart of the message over the need to be right. Just as Paul demonstrated by setting aside his own rights for the sake of others, there is profound freedom in laying down rigid expectations to clear the way for authentic connection and genuine transformation. Sometimes, winning a person over is far more important than winning the argument.

Today we celebrate 250 years of our nation's journey. As we gather with family and friends, enjoy parades, fireworks, and backyard cookouts, we also pause to thank God for the freedoms we enjoy and the many people who have sacrificed to protect them.
Scripture reminds us, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." (Psalm 33:12)
As we celebrate America's 250th birthday, may we continue to pray for our leaders, our communities, our service members, and one another.
