Good morning Turtle peeps. I want to first start off by saying how much we miss ALL OF YOU! I know we didn't win yesterday but you still took a great stand! We did make a difference in this community and it will come full circle! Being from the Bay Area for 18 yrs I didn't know what discrimination really was until I moved to Springfield. As the previous owner of the Tipsy Turtle I faced the same dilemma as we do now. We just weren't allowed to be a cool little neighborhood bar with great, friendly and kind people from all walks of life like we really were. Being gay spfd said I was a gay bar. As you all know I did not want or approve of this label or stigma. Over the years I have met so many wonderful people regardless of who or what you are. I wanted and accepted ALL GOOD PEOPLE! To all my amazing and wonderful people I have read your posts these past weeks and I'm so proud of the compassion I've seen. Keep up the good work and don't give up!! Have a great day friends and be proud of the difference you are making....
